justony 444 Posted August 9, 2016 #13 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Well done, Vasko, this is really our Super Tuesday. I was watching first race on HRT, he was really focused and is once more well prepared. As Croatian commentator said (she and her co- worker were really good), Vasilij is born for Olympics. He always knows how to prepare very well every four years.
konig 1,307 Posted August 10, 2016 #14 Share Posted August 10, 2016 a better begining of the argentinian sailing than i think previusly.....
justony 444 Posted August 11, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Quite remarkable start from our team. Vasko is still well placed on second position, Tina and Veronika also starting with 2nd place after day 1 in class 470. If only they would end competition now. Dennis 600 Posted August 12, 2016 #16 Share Posted August 12, 2016 Van Rijsselberghe almost 100% sure of gold, unless the jury makes another decision later tonight as they have done earlier. His lead in the RS:X category is big enough that the medal race is irrelevant when it comes to the Olympic title. Dorian would be the first sailer in his category ever to successfully defend an Olympic title. Dorian van Rijsselberghe was our flag bearer in London. Agger 1,601 Posted August 12, 2016 #17 Share Posted August 12, 2016 The danish 49er making a stupid mistake going the wrong way in the first race while in 1st place. They got down to 8th place because of that!

dcro 10,192 Posted August 13, 2016 #19 Share Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) We have secured our first Olympic medal in sailing. WOW, I never thought this day will come! Stipanović leads going into medal race in men's Laser. 10 pts ahead of AUS, 20 pts ahead of NZL and 29 pts ahead of FRA. So he has actually secured silver and has a good chance for gold! IRL, NED, BEL and CHN all had equal points (effectively) going into the medal race. Of course we know who finished 4th
