Luckily for us, despite our 44-45 loss to Spain, Brazil also lost 42-44 in the R32 to Austria. So disaster averted for now.

if you look at the brackets from a desktop PC, you can see the correct layout 

 

in the meantime, key win for  against  in the 1st round of the women's team foil

 

unfortunately for them, also  won their first match, so they are still in competition with some good points up for grabs

 

 need to defend 14 points over  to save their place in the top 16 of the OQR and seal their qualifying spot

 

now  and any other team already behind the Africans are definitely out of contention...it's down to the aforementioned pair of teams

in the men's team foil, nothing's going to change at the bottom of the ranking, as  and  all lost in the 1st round and get 8 points each in the standing, meaning that they will keep their position between 14th and 16th

 

 vs  is the fight for the Panamerican spot,  still have a 15-point advantage over  before the last OQT
