How is it going, France had host country places that it will not use because it will qualify in all team weapons. Will these places be used?

There will be 8 Tripartite Invitations. If any of these 8 are not given (very likely to happen), the remaining will be distributed using the Olympic Ranking.

Germany is 192 (217-25), with a win will go to 256. Italy is 220 (252-32), with 3rd is 260. We will be tied in case of 4th place.

In that case:

4th  288 (World spot)

5th  284 (Pan-Am spot)

6th  281 (European spot)

 

If  doesn't win the gold medal, they could only get 276 points and  would be ahead in Top5 and spot guaranteed.

With one little restriction

Teams #1 and #2 can face each other in the final only.

The same for #3 and #4, #5 and #6 e t.c. 

Thus Italy and USA can face each other in the final only.
