Switzerland has confirmed their eventing team.

Ben Vogg

Felix Vogg

They are brothers of course, and their grandfather was also an Olympian back in 1956 (Roland Perret).

This confirms Poland's quota, but it doesn't confirm Italy's alleged 4th quota. It seems next to impossible that Italy received that quota...

My prediction is Brecciaroli, Panizzon, Ugolotti and Pietro Roman. Let's see how close I get. :d

:SWE Sweden Dressage Team :SWE

Patrik Kittel (Deja)

Therese Nilshagen (Dante Weltino)

Juliette Ramel (Buriel)

Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven (Don Auriello)

Great mixture of experience and inexperience. :d Kittel and Vilhelmson-Silfven have already represented Sweden at a lot of championships while Nilshagen and Ramel never did so (Ramel only on junior levels while Nilshagen not even that).

Meanwhile, Canadian federation is making a huge mess with their selections. Unlike all other nations, they are keeping their selection criterias in secrecy. Riders literally didn't know that they were in contention for Rio selection until FEI published the nominated entries (national federations had to send their nominated entries to FEI...). :yikes: So much about being transparent and fair.

Quote

According to reports, Equine Canada did not even formally notifiy declared athletes that they had made the official Nominated Entries list (or conversely, had not been named) that was submitted to the Rio Organizers. Many riders only found out thanks to the FEI press release and social media. This is particularly surprising given that Equine Canada has recently substantially increased their staff resources to create a dedicated High Performance department and are publicly promoting their "Best in Class" practices with leadership referring to a "unified equestrian community in Canada".

This caused all kinds of other problems. For example, their dressage riders believed that average of top 4 scores counts as criteria for selection. But later it turned out that these 4 scores must come from at least 3 different competitions. This also caused some "promotional judging" among Canadian judges.

More about it here. http://www.equestrianconnection.com/newsshow.asp?int_id=1493
