A few updates from the IFA after last month's Board of Directors meeting.

Looks like there will be no host quota for :CHN China at the 2025 World Games. This is surprising after the IFA went to Chengdu last year to put on a clinic. No doubt that given a year :CHN China has the resources and athletes to field a team that would be competitive in the placement matches.

:NAM Namibia will replace :CHN China on the women's side. While :NZL will replace :CHN on the men's side.

:NAM Namibia finished 8th at the last Women's World Championships, while :NZL New Zealand finished 11th at the 2023 Men's World Championship.

:NAM Namibia has refused their quota (my guess is cost of travel) :USA The United States is next in line after finishing 9th at November's Women's World Championships.

The IWGA is set to launch an OTT platform, The World Games Live (TWG Live), in July 2025. This platform aims to provide free and easy access to TWG 2025 content. It will feature live streams of most sports sessions, as well as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and medal ceremonies, allowing users to watch in real-time or on-demand (VoD).

Flying Disc draw for ultimate frisbee (as posted to the WFDF's Instagram)...

Pool A - :USA:GER:JPN:CHN

Pool B - :AUS:COL:FRA:CAN

Both pools should be pretty competitive based on the results from the last edition of The World Games, and last year's world championships.

Does anyone know where the most comprehensive schedule can be found? Like with times and such.

Edit: as per usual with these things, the official website is a mess, but this one seems to be quite nice and useful.
