Luckily that is still not enough to run a country! 

For me he's a Hungarian Berlusconi, only Hungary is smaller and it's easier to have a media monopoly. Thanks to his private media, Berlusconi stayed in politics for over 20 years, despite being inept and the economy collapsing during that time.

They were friends, so you are right! Nowadays Salvini is his Italian friend!

Berlusconi' message was the correct one though.  "Vote for the guy who's already rich, not the guy who wants to get rich.". Plenty of us now regret not understanding that choice.

The premise may have been right, but the execution was terrible, although of course it wasn't all his fault.

Lately, he seems to be sticking closer to Meloni. Berlusconi and Orban are completely different generations, though and I think it was more of a mentoring relationship.
