Abe officially suggests one year postponement to IOC. I really don't like it personally. postpone to the end of the year is acceptable for me.

I really hope, of all things, it won't be postponed to October or something. Just give it up for this year and go for next year.

I think postponing to 2021 (or even 2022) is the only solution. Postponing to October or later, how it is that supposed to work for outdoor sports?

I wonder if it's possible to have "World Championship" in some of those sports later in 2020. (unlikely I know)

 

for example in wrestling there is no WCh scheduled in Olympic year of 2020, if they postpone the Olympics to 2021 I think that will cancel the 2021 World Championships in sports like wrestling

It should actually work better for the outdoor sports. Endurance events would be able to go forward as planned.

Tokyo 1964 was held in October.

I guess no international sports events in summer. even some countries contain the pandemic earlier than others, people still go against international travel.
