And at this time the great progressive democratic USA is blocking commercial deals, not grants but commercial deals, that would supply India with raw materials for Vaccines. And that too for a AstraZeneca Vaccine that is not even approved in USA. But, as Dr. Fauci said It is in the interest of the world that USA is vaccinated first.

Hungary still has the highest daily deaths per capita but the country couldn't take it anymore and at 35% vaccination the restaurants opened up for outdoor service and "everyone" went outside.

Feels a bit strange when a lot of people are still dying, but Orbán had to open things up as he needs to gain popularity. He posted a picture of him drinking a beer outside at a restaurant, it will probably be one of the most iconic pictures of Hungary's COVID crisis. It can be an important step for Orbán's reelection next year, he's sending the message that he defeated the COVID crisis, next will be the EURO2020 matches with a full stadium in Budapest.

Looks we are recovering here as well, pretty all shops, museums, Galleries etc... are open again, only restaurants are allowed to serve only in the terraces, otherwise you must take the food with you.

But the most important, from Tomorrow Spectators will be again allowed to return to the stadiums. with max. 25% of stadium capacity. Right in time for the hockey league finale starting on Thursday.

We are opening up. Now that 40% of the population is vaccinated, for the first time in many months people can attend various sport events, like football matches, if they have been vaccinated.

Keep going like this and before you know it we'll all have to work in the office all the time, that would suuuuuuuck :yikes:

Hopefully employers will now see that having to work 'in the office' is bullshit for a large part of the working population (of course not for all, plenty of jobs where working on a specific location is necessary). Personally I'm hoping my employer will be fine with 1 or 2 days per week at the office.

While in Europe situation is looking way better now (Poland will open many places from May 4th, despite first confirmed case of Indian variant of virus here) the things are totally out of control not only in Brazil and mainly in India but also in Nepal.

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
