fyi:Coronavirus has got a new name: COVID 19

Not entirely. It has been named 2019-nCoV since late December/early January (although media keeps calling it 'the coronavirus', but there's tons of coronavirusses, SARS is one as well).

The virus is still named 2019-nCoV, what's new is that the WHO has given a name to the disease now and that is Covid-19.

Covid --> Coronavirus disease

Still a rather mediocre name.

15k new corona cases confirmed today.

With a little sidenote being that this includes a whole lot of 'suspected' cases. Most of these are not actually confirmed (in a laboratory) but are 'clinically diagnosed': you have symptoms, you're counted. That's why there is this extreme rise from 2100 or something yesterday to 15k today. Good chance this is a one time thing to 'correct' the numbers to the new way of counting.

But this one attacks amoebas, single-celled organisms. Now, there do seem to be certain single-celled human individuals living in the world if one reads the things that are being said, but I doubt this'll affect them :p

Well as long as this will not be from those “started as a virus between animals/amoebas and then somehow found its way to humans...” :fingers: So anyway coronavirus seems to create quite a mess...

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.

    • Yes, he is ones of the first supporters of Milei, owner of one of the most important stock market of Argentina (Bull market), he was peronist and for "unknown reasons" start to be libertarian.   Even being libertarian in my case, i have to admit that him is one of the dumbest of "Milei supporters" and a clown when  he is in TV, he made me feel  embarrassed in many occasions.   Camila Giorgi being with him is.......inconceivable.
