Our "beloved" champion Slovan Bratislava just can not stop embarassing our country wherever they go

Now they apparently brought some gift to the :FRO, covid 19 pack made in Slovakia. Not only apparetly they have positive mebers of the crew with them but they even did not comply with local quarantine laws and decided to still left the hotel and even had yesterday an official training.

The local government has immediately sent a request to UEFA that either Slovan players all will have go to the 14-day mandatory quarantine or leave the country immediately by the same plane they arrived . Slovan insists on his own and wants to play tonight the match

Why do people put up with Slovan’s crap when it seems to go so much against the morals of the rest of Slovakia?

Slovan is the most successful club in Slovakia, that's why. @hckosice might correct me but it's DAC Dunajska Streda who is the villain of Slovakian football instead (due to being associated with the Hungarian minority).

yeah...every match of DAC is a financial trauma with basically all necessary involvement of the security forces

but you know there always idiots on both sides other teams "Fans" always provocating the home fans with their "Trianon ! Trianon !" and DAC fans always provocatng with their anti-slovak songs, This is Hungarian soil bullshit and their "Ria Ria Hungaria" etc.. all the time... and especially singing Hungarian national anthem before every home match...in brief, the "beauty" of a Slovak football league

nvm I found it. So the match is postponed, and Slovan will be allowed to play but only with his "B" team - so basically the Juniors team and they have to play until Friday night max. :roflmao:

Maybe, should be better to forfeit it than quickly find and send some juniors to Klaksvik and embarassing the whole our football by losing to a :FRO club on pitch

Re: DAC

They really should be in the Hungarian Football League, it would be better for both Hungarian and Slovakian football. And not just DAC, every sport club owned by Hungarians in Hungarian majority settlements would probably be better off in Hungarian leagues as long as they live inside the EU. We would have less scandals, and they could to spend less money on security.

I agree for DAC. this would solve many problems. The problem is UEFA/FIFA and their stupid policy to ban the international leagues. slovak clubs many times altogether with Czechs wanted to form a czech/Slovak national championship, UEFA at that time under Platini rule refused it. Basically except the :ENG premier League, there no other football league allowing foreign countries clubs to participate. So stupid.

Look at hockey or other sports how that work very well, if a :HUNclub want to play in let say :SVK ice hockey league, no problem, just pay like elsewhere and if the other clubs have no objections, they are welcome, but if a football club (DAC) want to play in :HUN league, it will never be allowed because of that UEFA policy and thus have to play here even if they are not identified with the country they are playing in...and the most funny thing is, since they are good enough and did qualified for the European cups, they will again represent Slovakia in Europe (even if their ultras will punch you in the face only because calling them slovaks )

Yeah... the Hungarian media is already kinda counting them as Hungarian teams when they play international matches. Which means that we have 5 "Hungarian" teams in Europa League this year as we have the standard 3 + DAC in Slovakia + Topola in Vojvodina.

    • North American rugby quotas ( and qualified automatically)    M: and W: and
    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
    • Shemyakina won a bronze medal in 2014 Worlds and was one of our leader but leave the squad due to pregnancy (she has 2 daughters if I'm not mistaking, so she chose family instead of sport). And speaking of foil we have back in the day Sergiy Golubitskyi, who was Olympic silver medalist and won some medals in other competitions and coached his wife Caroline Golubitskyi - one of the German foil specialists. Even in women's foil we had medal in Women's foil at the European championship - it was Olha Leleiko, our current national coach. So no, we are pretty good fencing country, and depending on generations of our athletes some events are more "profitable" for us and some don't.
    • Shemyakina that was a very strange story. She unexpectedly won the games but before and after she literally achieved nothing. After that success in 2012 she also completely disappeared. It's only in epee that such strange situations. That's why I've always preferred foil and sabre, because the top was more stable there, although that's changing now. The competition has grown a lot all over the world.
    • Sinner probably won't play in another edition of the Davis Cup. That shouldn't come as a surprise. Next season, Wimbledon and maybe Paris should be the goal.
