Nice flexibility :d

It seems that is very common now to have a dance/acrobatic performance during the unveiling of uniforms.

well, it´s less boring than watching some peoples just walking around a fashion catwalk few seconds :d

It also shows the "efficiency" of the uniforms under athletic movements.

I quite like the slovakian uniforms. The one that Richard Varga is wearing is great, and the Opening Ceremony ones are quite good too. The only one that I don't think it worked that well was Marcel Lomnický's pants, but at least they bring something "bold" to the mix (ditto the red leggings for the women).

sure :)

Yes, I agree about Lomnicky´s pants and I actually don´t like those leggings too, but I don´t agree about Richard Varga, those socks are awful, horrible, disaster

I'm so envious of all this, outfit for opening ceremony, outfit for daily life, outfit for going to the bathroom, etc

Our athletes only wear the one jacket they're given for all ceremonies and that's it  obviously cuz our NOC directives still live in the cave ages and don't have a clue about PR/image stuff.

I hope these women are just there to present the ceremony where the clothes were shown? Or do they actually have to use these extremely tight "gymnastics pants" as daily life clothes? :yikes:

To be fair, it looks good, but I can't imagine competition clothes like that feel comfortable :d

I think here in the Netherlands it will be a matter of posting 2-3 photos online and that's it :p

Am I seeing that right on the second photo on the left? A men's basketball uniform? :d

I actually kinda like the colours :red:

It's something different than those "modern" fails like the Americans...I think it's pretty cool :d

    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
    • badminton queen Carolina Marin announced that she can't take part into the home Europeans in the upcoming weeks because of her injured knee and calls it a career 😭
    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
