Don't know why the IOC chose for Africa to get two teams at Paris 2024, considering they're one of the weakest continents in women's football. Would much rather see another team from Europe qualify.

yes and like CONCACAF which has 2 quotas and we know for sure that Canada and the United States qualify given the lack of density on the continent! While in Europe it is always difficult to deprive oneself of great nations

I'm pretty sure it's FIFA who decide how the quotas are distributed.

And it's no surprise they want it this way, they intentionally sabotage this competition to strengthen their world cup. I predict by 2036 it'll be U23 restricted just like the men. They are waiting for women's football to become truly profitable and then they will cut the cord.

women's football will never become truly profitable

look at what happened with the next world cup tv rights...basically Infantino had to give them for free to all the big European Nations after the European Parliament "asked" them to at least find a place in their schedules to enforce the hypocrite "gender equality" policy at continental level

otherwise, all of the main European broadcasters already sent FIFA to fuck off...

At least Canada and the United States are strong enough to be included in a 12-team tournament. FIFA should have kept it like 2020 where CAF and CONMEBOL play for a second spot while Europe got 3 nations + host.
