The Chinese team has not gone back to China since November, so fears of the coronavirus will not prevent the team from competing.  Speaking on China, the official ski test event on the new Olympic course has been cancelled due to fears of the virus.  The event, which is one for the ski techs to work on potential waxes, was to be the first event on the new course.

Apparently the Czech government will take a decision on wednesday morning on whether the Nove Mesto stage will happen or not, because of, you guessed it, our friend COVID 19.

This is a funny virus, it infects people based on their nationality so all those Germans and others who were surrounded by infected Italians just a week ago are safe.

They should also ask all those biathlon fans from Wuhan not to come.

People are usually scared of disease. Travelling masses of sport fans across the continent obviously fuels the fear. Nobody wants to find out whether he's prepared to face the virus because in most cases he's not. I'm not surprised Czech Republic acts this way tbh.
