It's inseine, particularly after some of the athletes at the OG were left ill after competing in the same water. I know a nice rowing lake they could use instead.

Thing is they want to have the Eiffel Tower etc as the backdrop so must use the Seine. And because the French Govt promised it would be clean, everyone must pretend it is clean.

Just found out that there is an annual triathlon race in the centre of Paris that does NOT use the Seine but still takes in all the main city centre sites.  So literally all they had to do was just use that route for the swimming, and the whole soap opera could have been avoided.  But no no no, they knew best....
