There goes our chance for the Olympic quota.

This is huge for Germany, I think they will very likely take the quota now.

Polish girls are now out of qualification place in ranking?

No, they are still ahead of Germany, Hungary and Spain.

As long as you win the R16 match against Spain or Hungary at the World Champs, you will be fine. But if you lose that, you will be in trouble.

according to my very quick calculation (therefore subject to many mistakes), :POL are still the best European team outside the top 4 overall, therefore you would be qualified right now

the current women's Foil Olympic Qualification Ranking after 2 world cup stages and the continental champs (according to me, always keep in mind):

1 :ITA 168
2 :USA 156
3 :FRA 152
4 :JPN 136
5 :CAN 130
6 :CHN 110
7 :POL 92
8 :GER 90
9 :HUN 86
10 :HKG 79
11 :ESP 78
12 :KOR 75
13 :UKR 74
14 :EGY 64
15 :ROU 62
16 :MEX 56
17 :ARG 55
18 :AUT 55
19 :SGP 54
20 :ALG 52
21 :CHI 52
22 :VEN 48
23 :BRA 46
24 :GBR 43

it looks we have a very tough race between :JPN and :CAN for the 4th place (which would change many things in the continental repechage)

and then, a crazy fight between :POL:GER:HUN (with :ESP and :UKR not yet totally out) for the European spot (:ITA and :FRA shouldn't have too many problems to end up in the top 4 overall)

This team is not capable of winning the quota, we haven't been in the Top8 at a World Cup event in a while. I think it's going to be :POL and :GER, Egypt will most likely lose the quota, they already skipped two World Cup events.

Meanwhile we are getting massacred by Germany in men's sabre. Another bad day for Hungarian fencing...

What débâcle for the Hungarian in the sabre, they badly lost against Germany :hairpull:

The morale is not high right now. I have a very bad feeling about the next two days, but I hope that I will be wrong...

A truly fitting venue to host TISC 2024.
