Slalom Canoeing ICF World Championships 2019

Honestly, they should just ask the athletes to pick their one and only event. It could work as an additional gender equality policy, as male athletes don't exactly have the luxury of being able to compete in both classes...

 

All they needed to do was add a rule where the quota goes to the event in which the athlete performed best in (then prioritize C1 or K1 in the event of a tie).

Super happy for :AND, but not that happy for Casey. Bro needs to qualify at the Pan Ams or I’m going to lose it.

I see it as you do. But often the components of getting to the most important four-year party are culturally strange ;).

Apparently many riders including our canoeists were mad and clearly not satisfied by how low the gates were placed.

 

Many racers felt incomfortable during their runs today, not sure if it was by mistake or the organizers did it on purpose but the gates were set too close to the water. Hopefully for the finals they will fix it and lift the gates few cm higher, how the riders are used to race
