:DOM is on fire :yikes:

I still can't understand how they lose to :CZE

Maybe they weren't expecting such a difficult first match. Also, :DOM somehow does better with bigger teams?

:SRB qualifies for the Olympics.

Tomorrow :DOM vs :NED will decide the second quota (I think :DOM can even lose and still qualify?).

They usually manage to surprise sometimes, but this year they have been incredibly consistent.

We'll see how they will be against the Netherlands tomorrow, but regardless of what happens it's already a very good competition for them.

:CHN doing a terrible competition at home, and I thought :THA winning the Asian Championships was a fluke.

Spoiler

They'll get the quota by ranking anyway...

So it looks like :SRB has the quota and the second quota is between :DOM :NED . Netherlands can only qualify if they get a 3-0 or 3-1 victory.

Looking forward to the VNL, Canada needs to go something like 8-4 and hope the loser of Dominican Republic/Netherlands goes 4-8 in order to qualify to the Olympics.

The quality of wins & losses obviously matters too, but this is to give a general idea the difficulty we have to close a 30 point gap.

That's that main thing. Brazil had 8 wins combining South American Championships and the first 4 matches of the qualifiers, which counted for only +8.6 points since all teams placed lower than Brazil in the ranking. And then a single loss for Turkey yesterday costed -7.2. So If :CAN wins against better placed teams, maybe they have a chance.

Yes, with a win, or a 2-3 loss Dominican Republic qualifies.
