i dont know Coubertin's ideas. i think its much better to have the best competing. now in few events if there are thousands better than you but you are from africa or oceania you can be an olympian, if you are from europe its much more difficult.

yes if you are from some countries in some sports. now there can be thousands better than you but if you are from africa or oceania you can be an olympian, its too easy

no you have to train only a bit to swim 100m for one minute or more and you are not desserving to be olympian.

Russian Olympic Committee showed new mascots of the Russian Olympic Team.

They are cat-ushanka-hat and bear-matryoshka-untopply. The names will be create later.

The cat-hat looks kinda afraid. Like, seriously afraid. As if someone is standing right there with a rifle aimed at it.
