Tokyo Summer Olympic Games 2020 News

Recommended Posts

By the way, i have been looking at the Wikipedia schedule (if it's real) and i don't like that they have cramed so many things in the first week. Badminton goes back with being held alongside tennis and table tennis. Wrestling is also brought back and is opposite judo and weightlifting for the most part. The second week seems very loose for me. Rio has great scheduling.

Can't believe that surfing will be in Olympics... Baseball would be great if it would have it's stars - now is just worthless...

Sport climbing/skateboarding - meh.... might develop to something good...

Karate - do we really need so many contact sports? At least get rid of Taekwondo or something....

Is karate even a contact sport? I thought they don't hit each other :p

And then there's kata, which should be in some sort of dancing competition, but not the Olympics..

I was just watching BBC when Rupert Winfield-Hayes came on and did a report about Tokyo. He was with some woman who got the design of the Olympic Stadium 'radically changed' (made smaller) and then she still thought it was too big. But they haven't started building it yet so they better hurry up. Then he talked to some skaters.

At least it's not as host-country friendly as Korea/Japan 2002 or Seoul 1988.

    • I used to think Johnston(e) - from some place John build (aka stone for building something hehe).   I'm not familiar if Scottish or Irish clans are named after such clan founder or a place?
    • i'm triggered,legitimately thought kennedy 2.0 happened,just way more out of nowhere
    • Perfectly obvious.    Johnson = son of John Johnston or Johnstone = From St John's Town ie Perth in Scotland.
    • Nope. Azu missed out by 0.01. Bromell lost silver by 0.001!
    • Double silver and no medal for Bromell?
