Don't think anybody said it here, but it has been confirmed, athletes testing positive will be excluded from the competition. It will be so 'fun'.

Exactly, let's see how many wins by default or null matches in direct elimination events :lol:

Hopefully the Olympics will have the same fair and transparent process to decide about disqualifications which debuted on last year's US Open... :d

The thing is, even if every single athlete gets vaccinated beforehand (not gonna happen), vaccines are still only about 90% efficient at best.

 

That leaves around 1000 athletes that could potentially get excluded (in this, the most optimistic scenario).

I can see that backfiring.  No way will some countries even consider this.

Very mixed, but obviously a lot of unhappy citizens as not all vulnerable received the vaccines yet.
