the best 3 individual scores of athletes from the same Nation are added together and then you have a team score.

Of course one has to see what will happen in show jumping, so a lot is possible. But Gutkowski was very good in fencing round, and if I'm not mistaken, they are taking these points with them to the final: European Games 2023 (european-games.org)
