Is it normal that the WC finals have no enthusiasm at all? Even the swimmers looked like nothing happened

At first I thought the breaststroke final was a preliminary round lol

Could someone please tell me why Canada got so freakishly strong in women's swimming (apart from hiring a great coach)?

Our favorite former fencer with another random appearance ...

Fun fact: Did you guys know that he won an olympic gold medal in men's team foil at the 1976 olympics?

What about 2018? I don't know what it is, but italian swimming has found something after 2016. Everyone peaking at the right time + new talents (Miressi, De Tullio, Martinenghi, Burdisso, Ceccon, Quadarella, Cusinato, Gaetani, Pilato) every year. Currently Italy is number 2 in europe (behind Russia) and number 6 in the world behind USA, Russia, Australia, China and Japan.

as I wrote, after Pellegrini and Paltrinieri's success we have always more and more kids trying to swim for real, quite a good amount of money to invest in infrastructure and development and a new generation of coaches who were humble enough to go abroad (especially in the USA) to study all what you need to know to make your swimmers improve (methodology, strategy, technical things)...

however, it's since the Lamberti era that we are at least a decent swimming Nation in Europe...but we've always had troubles on the world's stage...

in the last couple of years, things seem to have changed also there, I think more than anything because we have a larger basis of good athletes where to pick from and try and build really good swimmers...

Argentina get their second 12 points of this year's contest to keep their hopes of a podium finish very much alive.   Big points also for Italy who become the 3rd nation to breach the 100-point barrier and they close the gap to France in 2nd.   That concludes the third session of this year's TISC Annual. Ireland maintain the lead as they have from the very start of the contest.
