Although I'm still a bit sad that she changed nationalities (Big hit to Canada's relay medal hopes), will still be rooting for her in the future, hopefully she can win a couple of medals there.

no. joking ofc. I noticed the info already yesterday, our NOC and some medias informed about. Stunning result for us for sure, difficult to understand how it is even possible I admit, but still very nice surprise.

Jeeeeez, Tajus Juška is an insane talent.

 

He already medaled in the men's 4x100m Freestyle and qualified to both the 100 Fly and 50 Free semis this morning.

 

This is Meilutytė level of talent at 14 years old...

 

Hope he has a long and healthy career.

I really doubt it's different in many other countries

 

I do read on this forum and only now I realized this event is even going on. If I was an avid swimming enthusiast, of course I'd have known, but it's not like swimming is so massively mainstream that even continental junior championships are anywhere in the news (I think the only sport for which a junior worlds would be news here is speed skating and mostly only if the Dutch get some special kind of medals there - like a 16-year old dominating the event)  

 

Still happy someone on here follows it though, now I can check the results

Interesting that our first and only medals are in 200m breast stroke, suddenly we are specialising in breast stroke ever since Kamminga's success. Gold and silver in the same event might say more about the lack of competition than the strength of the Dutch swimmers though...
