Lowered my PB in LCM 100FR to 54.80 yesterday :yes 1.74s drop on my previous best of 56.54, really happy with that race. Next up, sub 54! :fingers:

For my 50FR, didn't go so well, was leading then ran out of gas, and ended up finishing in 4th, although I did achieve another new PB (25.49)

Edited, meant to put 54 instead of 55.

Otoh, the expected comeback of Dressel was not good with a 29th place in the 100 FR. I guess the goal is Paris if he is on for it, but not so sure why is he racing here if he is not in good form.

Did you only look at the times in the final (for both Australia and the US)? I think there were some faster times in prelims.

Also:

a) O’Callaghan might not compete at worlds.

b) I think the US relays might look „a bit“ different at worlds. I expect at least Ryan Held and Torri Huske to swim in the final.

c) Too bad that we didn’t get to see Heilman at 100 % in the 100 free (he swam the 200 fly earlier in the same session).

d) Too bad that teen phenom Kaii Winkler (who sadly decided against representing Germany internationally) got injured shortly before trials. He might have had a shot at making the team.

I think the US might be even more dominant in the future than they are right now. On both sides they have multiple „freak talents“.

Men: Heilman, Winkler, Casas, Foster, Williamson, Diehl …

Women: Douglass, Walsh, Sims, Grimes, Weinstein, Hayes, Curzan, Huske, Jacoby, Smith …

Also interesting to „finally“ see an American teen phenom in the longer freestyle events on the men’s side. Recently the track record of teen phenoms in those events hasn’t been great (Grgic, Galossi). I guess as a Canadian you are probably hoping for a Mijatovic vs. Kim rivalry?

This hits for our relations so strong. We are really cool with Belarussian. Really neutral  with Czech and Slovakia. Lithuania too. I think even Polish People are into Baltics country more.
    • To be honest? Polish People nowadays like Lithuania. The main bad feelings are for Ukraine, Russia, Germany. Rest neighbours we are cool. I was in the Lithuania and have nice chats there,  they react nicely when I told them I am Polish. If we speak about Lithuania it was a Little hard moment when Lithuania has a problem with polish language  and schools and treat badly polish minority. If we speak about short Polish-Lithuanian war after I world or our Republic before it is not sth harmful and shameful for both nation. Vilnus was strongely connected with Poland.
