NMQ 222 Posted May 17, 2023 #112 Share Posted May 17, 2023 On 5/5/2023 at 10:06 AM, NMQ said: It hasn't been mentioned, but Caeleb Dressel will race again next weekend in the Atlanta Classic. It seems he will compete at trials. McIntosh and Ledecky also in the entry lists, although not in the same races. Mare Nostrum starts the same weekend (with some argentinian swimmers ), so interesting days ahead. About Dressels comeback, not much to say. He did decent times in the 100 FL and 50 FR, not so much in the 100 FR. But real test will be trials if he decides to swim.

Is he looking to qualify for WCs at Sette Colli? he hasn't recovered well from the mononucleosis he had at the end of last year. he missed a lot of months of training and this Spring he also changed his coach, which I think it's the worst idea he could have. as he's no longer in the main Italian club's group, with that change he also lost some valuable training mates he could face everyday to improve his standards. I think we're going to waste a talent (and also his alter ego Bertoni -also class of 2006- had a really bad outing at the Italian Nationals last month, therefore he's been confirmed only in the youth National Team program instead of getting a chance to raise his game together with the main team). not looking a good period for our younger freestyle specialists. most likely, Galossi is going to swim at Sette Colli, but I'd be very surprised if he can pull out some good clockings. Josh 5,717 Posted June 4, 2023 #119 Share Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) At the Mel Zajac International Swim Meet right now! Can’t wait to watch our swimmers compete! Especially excited for Liendo and MacNeil, but there’s many more names here that have the potential to make Team Canada for Paris 2024, should be a good time here in Vancouver.
