England, Scotland, Wales too.

At the moment I think that only applies to the women's event. They're still to make a decision on the men's side.

The International Boxing Association has opened disciplinary proceedings against five officials, including USA Boxing executive director Mike McAtee, after being accused of "inciting a boycott" of the Women's and Men's World Championships.

McAtee, Boxing Canada President Ryan O'Shea, Czech Boxing Association leader Marek Šimák, Swedish Boxing Association chair Per-Axel Sjöholmv and and Boxing New Zealand President Steve Hartley are under investigation by the IBA's Boxing Independent Integrity Unit.

hope none of them will leave IBA for the Olympic Committee...they are all a bunch of biased/corrupted criminals.

it's useless for the IOC to strip the organization of Olympic Boxing and then ask IBA's cheaters to judge their fights.

they have to find new judges who have never had any kind of relationship with IBA (or the old AIBA).

in any case, I still think IOC has to get rid of Olympic Boxing. point.

"A breakaway international governing body for boxing is set to be announced tomorrow by a group of National Federations tomorrow in a bid to save the sport's place on the Olympic programme.

A group of countries, led by the United States and Great Britain, will officially confirm they are quitting the International Boxing Association (IBA), led by Russia's Umar Kremlev, to launch a new organisation called "World Boxing".

An online briefing is due to be staged by tomorrow and will be attended by four "boxing leaders" with representatives from USA Boxing and GB Boxing joined by a group of European countries.

They are promising to make a "major global announcement regarding the future of Olympic boxing".

"Four boxing leaders will be available to answer questions about this worldwide development which is designed to secure boxing's on-going place at the heart of the Olympic Movement and deliver a better future for the sport," read a statement from the organisers."

    • The number of DNFs today is going to be legendary
    • Many DNFs among the lesser skiers now. They don't have stamina for this long course.   Kiara Derks should hang on to 30th place with 7.35 secs deficit and will open the 2nd run! @heywoodu

    • Let's hope the Brazilian federation will also realize she is actually capable of becoming a World Cup regular (not saying a podium finisher or something, but definitely someone who is good enough to mostly do World Cups), and start supporting her eventually, she absolutely deserves that.
