Can any Fencing experts of the forum inform me if this rare Dutch succes in fencing is worth anything? Looks like most big names are missing right? Does Tulen have a chance to qualify for the Olympics?

It's men's epee, anything is possible. Your team was 2nd at the first qualification event, so you might actually have a chance to qualify if you can consistently perform like that.

Really, it's impossible to tell. Hungary for example can easily win both the individual and team gold in men's epee in Paris, we got the talent for that to happen. But we can just as easily fail to qualify the team. Men's epee is a giant mess of constant upsets, it's the most unpredictable discipline in fencing.

Absolutely no idea. My knowledge of this sport is Two guys wearing white cosmonaut clothes fencing together until one of them scores 15 points or lead after 3 periods. Nobody never know who scores including the referee until the lights reveals that and athletes loves to straighten and fix their weapon after every hit, some with hands and some by standing on it... + the dark screen around the piste help well to have a nap

and Tulen is in Slovak a seal :d

TV coverage of breaking is bad. They are filming this like any other sport event when it clearly need much more dynamic camera movements, angles and editing to sell it.

It's a performance sport. If the performance of a performance sport is fundamentally unappealing to watch, it's maybe a sign it shouldn't be there.

I am VERY far from sold on breaking as a good addition to either the Olympics or Europeans...
