Injury for McMaster as well, I hate today.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Karsten Warholm with the 7th fastest time in history :hyper:

(all 6 faster times were set by 6 different guys btw :d )

I'm so much looking forward to a WCH final with Warholm, Samba and Benjamin in it.

I'd murder to see that.

Spoiler

Note to FBI: this was meant as a matter of speech, not literally.

I wonder if he’ll miss the Pan Am Games in 2 weeks. He’d be devastated if he did. In a interview he talked about how wanted to get :IVB a medal at all the major events.

Williams is freaking mad at Jamaica not already having selected her for Doha, holy crap, 12.32 :yikes:  That's the second race in a row where someone moves to 7th on the all-time ranking :d

He already won the Commonwealth Games, and he was actually the favorite for 2017 Worlds before he got injured that year. He would have been the 2019 Pan Am favorite, and still will be a huge favorite in Doha.

Some observations about this diamond league meeting:

- WADA officials must be crazy mad after seeing how blatantly Ingebrigtsen and Warholm are cheating

- Jamaica had a slump, but now they just don't seem to give a shit anymore. Blake and SAFP are suddenly world-class again + the girl in women's hurdles who came out of nowhere + the guy in men's long jump + Dacres. To be honest i understand it, considering that Kenya has had half of their athletes banned during the last 12 months but is still allowed to send a team to global competitions. I also have to say that i absolutely understand that russian athletes/officials are angry. Compared to Jamaica/Norway/Kenya/Ethiopia they were playing perfectly by the rules.

- I also hope that some of the british athletics officials will talk to Dobbin and tell her that she can't go on like this anymore: Until 2018 her best was 23.31 (and before that her best was 23.94) and then in 2018 she suddenly ran 22.59 into a -1.3 m/s headwind, all that at the age of 24, this is just insulting to all other athletes who have to compete against her.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

    • Finals are set    An all-Canadian final on the women’s side, as Team Homan looks to win their third title of the season (and improve to 18-1) against a hungry Team Einarson who have had a less than ideal start to the season, they were also the last Canadian team to beat Homan over a year ago (same event coincidentally), while on the men’s side it’ll be a battle between Olympic medalists as Team Mouat goes against Team Gushue!
    • Yeah, it was clear. But i repeat, we need it? I think no.
    • GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge Semifinals  Women  Team Fujisawa v.  Team Einarson  Team Lawes v.  Team Homan   Men  Team Mouat v.  Team McEwen  Team Dunstone v.  Team Gushue
    • In the past the ISU has now allowed countries without a Federation to compete.
    • yeah I know    I mean it wasn't a different team specific for that sport. it was the same CC team participating in both sports.
    • It is run by a different federation though
    • from what I heard , Iran has registered to participate in Alpine, CC skiing, SkiMo, Skating (they didn't mention which discipline ) and ... (this one will be surprising ) ... Curling    Curling is not a sure thing yet, the NOC has to approve it. the team is very new. I mean very very new, only few months ago they gathered few people to start the sport  you can't lose 100-0 in Curling, right ?    anyway it will be first time ever Iran participating outside of FIS disciplines. ( I didn't count Ski orienteering in 2011 which was the same as CC)   nobody cares about winter sports here. therefore finishing last won't have consequences. they can afford sending very weak teams. (which is not the case for the main Asian Games)
    • World Junior Championships ( Dushanbe)   Day #4 Medallists   women's -78kg Gold:  Brenda Olaya Silver:  Mathilda Sophie Niemeyer Bronze:  Eva Ronja Buddenkotte &  Dandara Camilo   women's +78kg Gold:  Lee Hyeon Ji Silver:  Celia Cancan Bronze:  Chihiro Yamaguchi &  Safa Soliman   men's -100kg Gold:  Mukhammadsodik Sodikov Silver:  Nozomu Miki Bronze:  Azhdar Baghirov &  Fares Mekhoukh   men's +100kg Gold:  Denis Batchaev Silver:  Kanan Nasibov Bronze:  Saba Kardava &  Ibrahim Tataroglu
    • 100 days to go until the first multi-sports games of the 2025
    • 11 medals out of 15 athletes. for whatever reason  we sent an incomplete team of 16 athletes (only 1 left for tomorrow) I wish I knew why  I can guess though   the result is indeed very good in such a competitive sport but lack of talent was never our problem in taekwondo. it was always there probably much more than any other country.    but the problem is the transition to the senior team. most of previous junior world champions never even made the senior team. (the new federation is doing better in this regard though)
