89 looks to be the new Main Event category, taking the crown from 81 with new (yet again) re-arrangements. The Antonino Pizzolato - Karlos Nasar rivalry continues with the next chapter and we also have a Chinese and Rostami in the mix. Let's see in what condition Karlos will be (he was caught drunk driving in the summer and had legal problems) and if he can make a fight for the WR. His entry speaks about it, but those can be misleading.

Unfortunately  Pizzolato has back problems and therefore he won't take part in this Championship

:NED Enzo Kuworge has still not been registered by the Dutch federation, and there's going to be a court case tomorrow about his situation. His private coach is at home, sick, so won't be able to join him. The federation wants one of their coaches to go with Kuworge, but Kuworge wants the son of his own coach to go with him as his coach, which the federation won't allow.

Why are federations always so annoying - especially in sports which are tiny in the country - when it comes to athletes preferring a certain coach?

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

the event hasn't even started, yet...

and here we go...

a couple of Ukranians (surprise, surprise  ) and, above all, the Olympic Silver medallist in the men's -81kg, :DOM Zacharia Bonnat, have already been caught with their hands in the marmelade... :wall:

in the absolute disinterest of the entire world (is there any TV network/streaming service showing this thing? even the competition's results are impossible to find out :hairpull:), yesterday the tournament started with the 1st Group A competition...

and for my own personal major disgust, the doping cheaters from :THA Thailand are back in force, as they dominated the women's -45kg weight class... :wall:

Today 2 "finals" are scheduled, the men's -55kg (01.00 a.m. CET of tomorrow) and the women's -49kg (10.30 p.m. CET).

Yesterday's Recap

women's -45kg

Gold: :THA Thanyathon Sukcharoen, 82kg Snatch + 100kg C&J, 182kg Total

Silver: :THA Siriwimon Pramongkhol, 78kg Snatch + 102kg C&J, 180kg Total

Bronze: :COL Manuela Berrìo Zuluaga,  77kg Snatch + 93kg C&J, 170kg Total
