Good day for Canada, winning three medals, including a gold in the 10,000m speed skating event. Both ice hockey teams got their win as did men's curling. Women's curling on the other hand had a bad start to the tournament, losing both games. It's not over for them, but they need to use the mixed doubles team as inspiration and try to turn things around. Tomorrow will be another quiet day, but women's skeleton will begin along with men's figure skating and of course curling will be in action.

Woohoo.  I wasn't expecting silver in Luge relay.  Good for us.

I mean a 7th and 8th place busy compared to Sochi. It’s a better type of busy eh?

Sochi was a scandal for the men's team.  Not bad placings, and there's still the 50km, but it never really looked like Alex was in any race.  Failing to qualify for the sprint was insane.

At this point I think we can forget about a medal in women's curling. Rachel Homan and her team are playing possibly the worst curling of their career...

Canada is the only winless team in the tournament, and Homan is playing like she wants to be 0-9.

    • Nobody in the US watches it is the problem the IOC has. That and it's kinda dead as a grassroots sport - I ski and I've only seen one Alpine board in my entire life. It was displayed in a store as a curiosity and it was *old*. Much easier to participate in snowboardcross at a recrational level.   I don't think it should be removed, but Alpine snowboarding has a perception problem as a dead sport, at least outside of Europe (I don't have a good sense of how often Alpine snowboarding is shown on TV in Europe and how popular those broadcasts are).
