WTF just happened in the women's 500m K4 :yikes::hyper:

Poland detroyed all the other teams, Mexico won an historical bronze medal (!!) and New Zealand isn't event on the podium!

Women's K4 sure is a mess now that we are weak and the Belarussians and Russians aren't here. Easy gold for :POL and medals for :AUS and :MEX. We will have to bring Kozák back if we want to fight for the medal in Paris.

Medal for us? That is insane. Govorčinović makes history for Croatia.

 

It was disappointing when we made zero semifinals in Tokyo. This is huge in comparison.

      It's close between Mexico and Venezuela. Mexico probably has the better pitching but I think Venezuela is far superior when it comes to star power. They have pretty much all their top guys on offense besides Altuve.   I did accidentally forget Cuba. Call me crazy but I'm placing them 7th behind Panama. Panama is my dark horse team for the tournament and Cuba isn't looking too pretty these days to be honest especially on offense although Canada, Panama and Cuba are all probably roughly in the same tier. Maybe Puerto Rico as well since they're missing their 3 best players on offense.

      poir Madsen had a very unlucky debut at the CWC he seriously injured himself (dislocated shoulder and possible concussion) in an attempt to save a boundary in the very early stages of Today' match vs Scotland   moreover, Italy lost badly against the Scots, allowing them to score 207 runs in the 1st innings (it took 14 overs to get the 1st wicket) and going well short chasing that score (we immediately saw that today wasn't the day when our lead batsman went out at the very 1st ball thanks to an amazing but improbable catch by a Scottish fielder)   in all this, a couple of highlights to be recorded: Hasan Ali with a very efficient bowling performance (5.25 economy, 1 wicket) and Harry Manenti with good 52 runs in just over 30 balls with the bat

      The Italian team has already achieved a better result than the Chinese team in 2022 at home. The Italian team has made enormous progress since 2023, when we were still losing to Korea and Poland. Of course, this is mainly due to naturalizations, but China did the same. It's one of the few sports that have made significant progress before these Olympics and this is how it should be in most disciplines at home games.
