Well, Morocco wasn’t in the African Union for all of those years because they debated the membership of Western Sahara. However, they were reaccepted last year, thus making them eligible to participate.

I don't know if this is known yet and I can't really find a source online, but anyway: apparently Australia is boycotting this season's Winter Universiade (early 2019) in Krasnoyarsk, because the NOC's of Australia and Russia are in a fight over the whole doping thing and Australia won't send anybody to Russia.

    • Zografski with an amazing second jump  It will be the best performance by a Bulgarian at the WCH in history. Training with the German team this season has been wonderful for him.
