Women's Field Hockey EHF European Championship 2023

Recommended Posts

In Tournament A :ENG is basically  qualified already for div I in 2023 and :WAL is for div II, however in the last matchday the two giants :CRO & :SVK will decide who plays in div II and who goes to div III next year.

Since they tied the game between them 2-2 it will decided on GD against the two other teams.

For reference, :SVK already lost 0-9 to :WAL, while :CRO lost 0-15 to :ENG....

And Slovakia will play div II at the end, for the first time.

Lost only 11-0 to England while Croatia fell 8-0 to Wales.

Had to look for that in our Field Hockey federation fb, did not even know they had one lol..

and came across this :

"After heroic defensive effort despite the defeat against Rio olympic champions our girls made history by promoting to 2nd division, a level any our team have never played before. congrats!" ...

Heroic defensive effort

If :SCO wins EuroHockey Championship 2023, Olympic quota goes to 2nd placed nation?

Only England can qualify Great Britain? It's about time England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland get their own NOC's to stop this always returning mess :p

As a :SCO I can tell you that this is not going to happen - not this year, not next year and not ever :d

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
