Alberto Mineo wins it for Italy with a 2-run walkoff HR in the bottom of the 9th...7-5 the final score... congrats to Germany...they played a very good game and gave Italy a big, big scare... the semis NED vs ESP and ITA vs ISR are scheduled for tomorrow at 3 and 7 p.m. CET...we'll see later tonight who's going to play at what time... AlFHg 330 Posted September 13, 2019 #52 Share Posted September 13, 2019 It looks like Italy won in the end. I should definitely avoid watching baseball: the only inning I watched, Germany scored 5 points phelps

CCB 455 Posted September 13, 2019 #54 Share Posted September 13, 2019 Wow! Exciting matches this evening. Would have been a problem when and both lost their matches. One of them should miss the Olympic qualifier. But fortunately both are through to the semis. Watch out for , they already surprised Netherlands and will be number 5 of this tournament. Gianlu33 3,578 Posted September 14, 2019 #57 Share Posted September 14, 2019 Netherlands and Spain are still 0-0, very close match but not so nice to watch. At last 3 inning to play

At last 3 inning to play finally, a defensive mistake by Spain helped the Netherlands to score the lone run in the bottom of the 8th... therefore, NED are the first team qualified to the final... meanwhile GBR won 5-1 against CRO and send them to the 2nd Division next time round... in the 5th-8th place playoffs, instead, CZE won a match against BEL that was a lot closer than expected (5-4 the final score) and GER destroyed FRA 14-4 in only 8 innings, which means that tomorrow CZE and GER will play (11 a.m. CET) for the last place in the Olympic Qualification Tournament... least but not last, the second semi is well underway...and ISR just scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning (a grand slam by Rosenbaum included) to turn things around after a good start by Italy... now we are in the top of the 6th with Italy at bat and a score of 5-4 in favour of Israel... phelps 6,925 Posted September 14, 2019 Author #59 Share Posted September 14, 2019 and another solo shot by Paller took Israel's lead to 2...6-4 at the start of the 7th, now...
phelps 6,925 Posted September 14, 2019 Author #60 Share Posted September 14, 2019 (edited) Colabello hits it out of the park... unfortunately it's only a solo HR... however, now it's 6-5 Israel...we're at the top of the 8th (1 out)...
