First time in over 16 months, Apurvi Chandela failed to reach a final in any international shooting event in  10m Air Rifle. But that was required as you can't expect to be the best always. Nonetheless 2 Indians in finals so a good one to watch.

With no India, China, Korea, Iran and only one for Taipei, excellent chance for Mongolia/Singapore and others to win quota(3) in Asian qualifiers.

Elaheh Ahmadi was expected to win the quota but 17 years old Armina Sadeghian took it instead. she was 8th after the 2nd group of shooters and she was lucky nobody from the last group surpassed her.

 

Iran usually don't replace the shooters, that means no chance for Elaheh Ahmadi unless she tries 50m rifle 3 positions .

good result for Iran........ was expecting Iran to get a quota place here

Indians - annu and chinki did just Ok ...... annu has a chance to qualify in the 25M pistol women she is one shot off the score required with rapid to go

50 M three positions has been the bogey man for our pistol / rifle team .....but sanjeev shot really well in the eliminations though he finished off the qualification level , but with the qualifications tomorrow I have a feeling he may get into the finals
