Oceania has a direct qualifier and there's a repechage. So Oceania only needs two teams in the top 4 of the World Series to qualify all four of New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Samoa.

Not a good event for already down into the Shield where the best they can finish is 13th. They can potentially fall out of Olympic qualification position if or perform well enough here. Of course with four more stops the fight for the Olympic quota is far from over.

Big victory for Ireland, they will make up some ground in their quest for a top 4 finish. Australia will move into an Olympic qualifying position. Argentina has a big chance to put some distance against the chasing pack and perhaps make a major cut into New Zealand's lead. Uruguay must be quite happy about that.

What will happen if France finish the season top 4? The 5th place qualifies,  or another spot is added to the final tournament ?

What about South Africa? If they miss it might they miss the tournament? I know they don't usually accept continental quotas

They did in the last cycle. I haven’t heard anything about their policy for this cycle. Maybe @JoshMartini007 has?
