Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Competition Schedule

Recommended Posts

Happy to see Sports Climbing rescheduled for a spread of the most interesting finals. Only too bad it also is included on the final saturday, which is always already too crowded. It is especially annoying they crammed in Weightlifting the last weekend. I'd rather have weightlifting earlier that week..

One wonders if it is really that necessary to have extreme kayak spread out over three days? Having a separate day for heats is just hilarious.

Well, it is 8 heats for M & 8 Heats for W, the exact amount of 16 races in the 4xQF/2xSF and 2xFinals A&B

So exactly the same format used in ski cross and snowboard cross... Which are more extreme and are held fully in one day. :p

I guess it is more TV friendly for IOC/ICF to propose two 2 hours sessions than one 4 hours, you know, young and urban fans need shorter sessions to not lost attention :d

Thank you @rafalgorka!   It is rather fun to do.  There will definitely be additions and changes, including finalizing the basketball and volleyball schedules.  Some entries for these sports are assumptions based on past schedules.

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
