Same trick Russia pulled in 2008 when they recognized Abkhazia & Northern Osetia. Did any of the 'democratic' countries do anything about that? Nope. Nobody will do anything about Donetsk & Lugansk either. I mean War In Donbass goes on for eight years and most Western democracies would like everyone to forget about that one. But the evil Putin just won't let it go! How rude!

He'll come after the Baltic countries in 5-6 years time. Modern day appeasement suits him just fine. Germany will do everything not to help Ukraine and protect their Nord Stream 2 investement

Nah, the Baltic countries are NATO members, that would immediately start a World War. Finland and Sweden are the only countries that are in some danger, but I doubt Putin would ever do something as insane as a war in Northern Europe.

According our media Putin just decided to sent Russian army to Donetsk and Lugansk "to keep peace on those territories"...

Edit. Well, Olympics and "the peace" just ended at almost the same time...

No , it's not 100% true

I thank China for extending world peace by two weeks with the help of the Olympics.

As far as it wasn't clear yet, Putin basically says out loud he wants to bring the full Soviet Union back.

He blamed Lenin for creating Ukraine. He sees himself as a successor of Nicholas II and not Yeltsin.
