heywoodu 14,901 Posted July 30, 2022 #43 Share Posted July 30, 2022 Remco Evenepoel with a 45km solo to take the win in the Donostia Klasikoa, nothing to do against that And in Poland Olav Kooij sprints to the win in the first stage. Of course he's not a sprinter people didn't know yet, he's widely seen as one of the top sprint talents after all, but this is his first World Tour win. Groenewegen, Jakobsen and Kooij...there were times not even that long ago when it was a sensational result to have one Dutch sprinter in the top-10 in some big bunch sprint (I remember Tom Veelers with a 4th or 5th place or so in the Tour de France when he could sprint after Kittel being out, that was big) If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 14,901 Posted July 31, 2022 #45 Share Posted July 31, 2022 For reference: Pogacar and Vingegaard had this power output for a significantly shorter time on their superb climb in Mende in the TdF. Going at 7.25 W/kg for nearly 12 minutes is borderline insane If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Going above 6W/KG is insane at that point. We will see what Remco can do in Vuelta. heywoodu
Jinzha 702 Posted July 31, 2022 #47 Share Posted July 31, 2022 I believe there is no discussion thread for the women's world tour. Results in the Tour de France Femmes: Yellow jersey: Annemiek van Vleuten Polkadot jersey: Demi Vollering Green jersey: Marianne Vos White jersey: Shirin van Anrooij Not too bad if I say so myself
