Hilarious result in Parma. One must wonder if Sakkari would ever win second WTA title. Good for Mayar though, first ever WTA singles title for Egypt

Maria's serve is so bad these days, in the last few years it was such a big weapon. This was an embarrassing loss...

...but not all hope is lost, she lost her first five ITF finals before she finally won one. And people can make jokes about Rabat all they want, but she beat Mertens and Konta there, it's not like her draw was a total joke (now Parma which she did not win is a different story...). She is a hard worker and a fighter, I give her credit for showing up when she knows she's in a slump unlike others like Osaka who would rather hide at home than play and lose...

Krejcikova with the upset of the week, breaks Swiatek's 21 consecutive sets won in finals and wins the title in Ostrava in a 3h16m crazy battle. Iga cried a lot in the end :( but didn't understand a thing she said cause she talked in polish :p

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
