Also anyone know what happened to decathlon world record holder Kevin Mayer of France ? Apparently he crashed out in the hurdles screaming in pain and was on the ground for a while…

He's having an MRI scan tomorrow. We'll know more then

The MRI came back as a “significant” hamstring tear. They said everything will be tried so he can be in the decathlon August 2 but regular tests will be conducted to determine if it’s feasible or not to pursue his Olympic dream .

Even if he is able to compete in the decathlon, doing it after missing a month of training isn’t the smartest thing to do. Risks more injuries.
