Sweden’s goalie Wallstedt has tested positive for Covid-19. :yikes:

Now he’s not able to go home to Sweden. He needs to be in quarantine for 10 days in Canada before going home. :(

If my count is right, that’s 7 out of 10 teams with positive Covid-19 cases now.

Well that would be really dumb if true, since our team is already in Toronto waiting for the plane to Vienna lol

What absolute joke planning from the IIHF. Either cancel the tournent before hand or enforce a full-on bubble. Though I suppose it would have been too late for that. Either way, making teams forfeit a game after one positive test while letting them stay at a hotel that had a freaking wedding reception going on was just not going to work. Now as a result, most teams are on quarantine and wasted their Christmas. Feel terrible for the kids, hopefully it gets made up during the summer.

So Calgary Airport unit employees can´t read ? It is not like big words Czech Republic and Russia on the front of hoodies are very similar  :p

It is for some reason tactfully not mentioned in the article but the airport security staff kicked out the Czechs off the plane because they had similar grey hoodies as the Russians, (just they also had a big CZECH REPUBLIC on the front) :roflmao: The Czech officials are so pissed https://www.idnes.cz/hokej/reprezentace/ms-do-20-let-edmonton-odlet-komplikace.A220101_095404_reprezentace_rou

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.
