Consider that on-screen graphics are always delayed (1 or 2 tenths) for tecnical reasons...if the clock was correct and she appears to be crossing the line at 1:30.3, Haehlen's time is something like 1:30.40 imo.

Results were corrected by FIS https://www.fis-ski.com/en/alpine-skiing/alpine-news-multimedia/news-multimedia/news/2018-19/2-february/statement-about-official-results-of-crans-montana-ladies-downhill

New official results https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=AL&raceid=95568

1. Goggia   2. Schmidhofer   3. Suter

Haehlen's time is 1:30.38

Crazy Crans Montana.

Read the statement, but either my English isn't that good, or they didn't explain how it happened only for four Swiss skiers...?

Quote

The reason that the four times were not recorded was as a consequence of the set-up of the photo cells at the finish, which were mounted too high.

Shouldn't it have happened for everyone else as well?

Reminds me of this mistake from Longines. In one row the average of 69.25 and 71.80 was correctly calculated to be 70.525, but in the other row the same exact numbers gave the average of 70.225! This mistake was never corrected actually.

Swiss timing systems are sneaky every once in a while. :p

    • At the beginning, she was considering a helicopter transfer within that day as 3 companies offered her that option. But later, she did not give a clear answer but said that she will compete PGS. Some information still seem to be a bit unclear, but some information does not want to released to public. I am not so sure. But what actually happens, we have to wait for that certain day
    • Yes, they also wrote about It months ago on the olympics website: https://www.olympics.com/en/news/ester-ledecka-chooses-snowboard-over-alpine-downhill-milano-cortina-2026
    • Not really. Maybe you heard it wrong. She decided to give up downhill and will focus on snowboarding parallel Giant slalom. After that, she should participate in Super G and Team Combined.    Btw, maybe, but really maybe, she may take part in one downhill training which is a condition in order to participate in downhill race. Why am saying that is the fact that if the downhill will be postponed to another day due to weather conditions, she would go for the downhill race as well.
    • Actually it was announced some time ago she will do the Snowboarding PGS on Day 2 and then the Alpine Super-G on Day 6 (+ still in discussion process the start in the Alpine Combined Teams on Day 4)
