4th part is out... Bigger names inclued :ESP Rafel Nadal, :GBR Mo Farah and :HUN Laszlo Cseh

Majority of these are injury related exceptions. Nothing scandalous as far as I can see.

I wonder if they will ever do more than just put TUEs up online, of which for example Froome already said that he had them so in his case there's literally nothing new.

Which all of course still raises the question: how come athletes seem to get allergic/asthmatic right before big moments/Grand Tours/etc? :p

I'm really curious for some people with actual knowledge to comment on all this. Most of what I'm hearing is either "They are all cheaters with their TUEs!!" or "All these TUEs are totally normal!!", but to me it seems quite obvious that both views are bullshit..of course they're not all cheaters, but of course not all TUEs are needed and should even be given..

For example, any semi-serious tennis fan knows about Kvitova's asthma problems. OTOH, we know nothing about Mattek-Sands' allergies, some sources claim that she served her ban for using some of those substances. Those are just the speculations, but as you know, there's no smoke without fire.

And that's the whole point. No doubt there are athletes from USA, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Fiji or whatever that have TUEs which are perfectly fine and normal, but there's also no doubt that there are athletes from USA, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Fiji or whatever who "abuse" the TUE system and should not get the TUEs they do get.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
