After first good shooting from Guńka he had 3 misses in second shooting and qualification to pursuit seems to be impossible right now. But still he performed already better than Szczurek and Guzik.

But fellow IBU Junior Cup athlete Zawół has done better and will make the pursuit

Baloga today probably buried our chances to have a Relay in Beijing...

Due to the poor result of Baloga, our team gained today only a few points in the Olympic qualification. The big problem is that although :ROU definitely dropped out of the fight for the Olympics since they were not here at full strength and send their best athletes to the IBU Cup to Osrblie, :EST scored exceptionally today, experiencing their best races in many years :wall: - Zahkna finished 17th with 0+0 and others took 57th and 65th places.

That earned them a incredible 284 points !!! and are now only 54 points behind us 4 races before the end of the Road to the Olympics. Today they even erased 138 points from our gap. :( If they overtook us, (which is unfortunately very realistic, given they have their strongest events XR and XSR to come) only Šima and Bartko could probably start at the Olympics, and Šimon is yet the last above the cutting IBU points line.

The WOG Qualification ranking is here.

But Japan is still behind so if only one of the two overtake Slovakia then you're still in. And Slovakia has got more leeway to score in the mixed relays : both have a 80 points best in the XR but Estonia has a best of 110 points in the XSR when Slovakia has 70 points. Considering Fialkova's form a good single mixed could do it.

Why on earth are you explaining him. It's @hckošicevery old stratergy to tell they won't qualify or win medals every sport and they end up qualifying a big number .:p:lol:

Yeah, will be super close, :EST will certainly overtake us, their results lately are much better than ours, I do not see us to keep them behind us. Japan is also a threat but may be a close battle until the end for sure and can end on both side. + There still the Chinese, they have no results in mixed events so they will earn tomorrow a huge load of points as well..

we will see but I am not entirely confident for our boys here.

I am afraid this time it is not gonna work :p but we can blame only ourselves, with such budget and support not qualifying a relay is just an epic embarassing failure

To make it even worse for you you could end up with one male quota. Bartko is far from safe if you drop out of twenty. Right now he would be in last qualifying position. Romania and Croatia chasing him 😂, of course assuming Wright will be nominated.

This. Thats what I wrote. Šimon is in the last place above the cutting line. I already smell this nightmare, not having a relay is embarassing but not having even a mixed relay will be just last nail in the svk biathlon coffin. as we say in popular proverb...let the last one turns off the light

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
