The Mallorca round has started. Apparently there's a Sprint League with two sprint events (sprint and keirin) and an Endurance League with two semi-sprint events (elimination race and scratch).

 

Too bad there's not an Actual Endurance League. Eurosport is making a huge, huge show out of it though, with all kinds of stuff and explanations (even on the scratch, which is literally just "X laps, first to finish is the winner" ).

Well it is an Eurosport baby, so it's expected they'd try to make it a big deal.  Though i don't know if an one-night only event is going to make a splash. I'd prefer it was a 2-3 day meeting.

Honestly I don't understand who was on the podium in the sprint events. Any guess for the 3rd place?

There’s a double bill from London tonight & tomorrow.  Sadly these will be the end of the series for this year - Tel Aviv, scheduled for next week has been cancelled because even , the country with the world’s highest vaccination rate, is still vulnerable to COVID.
