I think we going to see the IOC come under major pressure to simply ignore Cas rulings. What’s the punishment if they simply refuse her to enter the arena. A fine?

They may come under pressure but ignoring CAS opinion?  Won't happen.  IOC statement "We must follow the rule of law."

Just thinking about this, I think part of the reason Americans in particular are having such a strong negative reaction to Eteri is that we just saw first hand the horrible damage that kind of coaching mentality can lead to.

@bmoHey, you forgot to mention Olympics is more about money than fair play these days - at least for those fighting for medals. Pro sports is pure business so sending an example doesn't really matter anymore. A country that values capitalism so much like USA should understand that more than anyone else!

Yeah true. It’s just a shame that this is starting to make its way into the olympics.
