France has been appointed already as hosts of 2030, SLC 2034 and Switzerland has first shot at 2038

Ya, I agree. There are so many legendary winter sport venues in Switzerland, the potential is there for it to be one of the all time great Winter Olympics.

Ah right, there was the recommendation by the IOC EB a while ago. I assume next month they will make it official and appoint those Games.

Conditional choice because IOC wants government guarantees from France 

 

Yeah, nobody in Europe is willing to spend money on hosting OG anymore so IOC basically has to beg for anyone to make a bid or simply all the future OG will be held in Saudi Arabia and Qatar

Wonder how uncompetitive their curling and hockey teams will be…  

 

You can tell I’m not a big fan of either (given they’re both already hosting a summer Olympics six years prior), I would’ve much rather preferred Switzerland and Stockholm.
