Weightlifting Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 Road to Paris 2024

I have done a simulation of the possible entry lists for Paris 2024.

 

This simulation is based on the latest OQR from IWF (published March 4th).

 

12 entries per weight. Maximum 3 lifters per NOC per gender. Host country (France) using all their 3 quotas across both genders (6 in total). Universality places are distrubuted accordingly to follow the mentioned criteria before. 

 

Green = Qualified/Selected

Red = Not selected due to exceeding NOC's maximum quotas per gender

Yellow = Already selected for another weightclass

One more chance for the young Sofia Georgopoulou to lift an additional 10-15 kg or so, otherwise  will not participate in weightlifting at the Olympics for the first time since 1956 

 

Reminder that in 1996 we won the weightlifting medal table at the Olympics, and in 2000 we were second in the medal table...

 Rustam Djangabaev (6th in current ranking at +102kg) is tested positive for doping, his name had been removed from the World Cup start list, which means he is not going to Paris 2024 anyway

 

that's his 2nd time, we won't see him for a while, maybe forever.
