I would prefer Sinner's Olympic gold in Paris to the current No. 1 ranking or even winning Wimbledon this year. Wimbledon is every year and the Olympic Games every 4 years.

Well of course you would :d

But I don’t know where his priorities are.

I thought this was interesting:

Jose Morgado's tweet states that both Osaka and Nishikori will use protected ranking to play the Olympics.

So the GS winner/OG champion spot would open up for maybe Raducanu or Kerber? Not sure who else could be taken into consideration.

there are 2 Legacy quotas. Apparently it would go to Kerber and Osaka... next in line: Carol and Raducanu.

Carol just announced she's IN

Was confused on who Carol was, until I clicked onto the profile and realized that it’s Wozniacki :lol:

I honestly find it pretty wild that one major title was enough to get a legacy quota on the women's side given just how many different major champions there have been over the past decade or so.

this article makes it look like Raonic is going to play in the Olympics, maybe? Not sure what to conclude from it:  https://opencourt.ca/2024/06/11/milos-raonic-return-grass-olympics-pterygium/

Looks like he still has his protected ranking, so ya, he can just chose to qualify for the Olympics if he wants to.

Didn't M. Andreeva also like some pro-war posts on social media?

Also, does Kasatkina have any intention to compete in Paris as she has been outspoken against the war?

Khachanov, Rublev and Samsonova are out
